Discriminatory abuse is when someone is treated unfairly or harassed because of who they are. This may include:
- Racist or sexist remarks
- Comments about someone’s disability, impairment, age, or illness
- Harassment, slurs, or other degrading treatment
Discriminatory abuse can happen anywhere – at home, in the community, or in care settings.
