Our commitment to climate change

Addressing the climate crisis is one of the Council’s five corporate priorities. This means doing two things:

1. Reducing our emissions
2. Adapting to climate change

Together, we can help make Trafford a low-carbon and climate-resilient place to live and work. This can deliver many benefits:

• energy-efficient homes and buildings
• resilience against flooding and extreme heat

We also understand that this transition to become carbon neutral must be fair. That's why we are working to reduce costs and protect vulnerable residents.
