Early Education SEND Support Grant

Funding is for additional support so a child can attend their early education place. If a child is in receipt of 30 hours free childcare the funding will be awarded to the universal hours provider.

Who is the funding available for?

The funding is available for children who attend a Trafford school nursery class or private provider for their free early education place. This is regardless of where the child lives.

How much funding is available?

Funding is awarded based on the child's needs. It is usually paid for 6 months with an opportunity to re-apply if further support is required.

How do I apply?

Providers need to complete an early education support grant application.

All applications must include a Trafford provision map. A guidance document on how to complete the provision map is available and a video guide is also available.

Providers must also agree to the early education support grant terms and conditions.

Do parents/carers need to give their consent?

Parent/carers need to provide their consent before an application can be considered by the panel. There are two ways to do this:

Parent/carer completes online consent form.

Early education provider downloads the printable form for the parent/carer to sign.  This can be submitted with the provider's online application.
