Consultation process
We have to use the funding to meet the priorities in our SEND Reform Plan. This is so we have enough school places that can meet the needs of children and young people with SEND in our area.
We worked with key partners to develop some proposals and are now asking for feedback on our plans from parents, carers and young people as well as schools and settings.
Give feedback
You can ask questions, tell us what you think about the proposals and share your ideas and comments in the following ways:
- Via our consultation hub
- Emailing fis@trafford.gov.uk
- Writing to: Family Information Service, Trafford Council, Waterside, Sale, M33 7ZF
The consultation is open from 14 September to 12 October 2026.
Trafford guide to co-production
Our Trafford guide to co-production describes how we can work together to make things happen. It includes a ladder of co-production which recognises various steps of participation.
Co-production is not always achievable, but other forms of positive participation should be recognised.
We have categorised this activity as being at the third stage on the ladder of co-production, which is Consultation, where families are asked what they think about particular developments or issues.
