The cremation process
Once your service is complete, the coffin or casket will be taken into the crematory and charged to the cremator. The cremated human remains are then withdrawn from the cremator and placed in a cremulator, to reduce them to a fine ash.
The ashes will then be packaged and labelled ready for collection. All ashes will be parcelled in an individual paper bag and a premium cardboard box.
If you have arranged for an urn or keepsake to hold your ashes, they will be appropriately placed inside prior to collection.
The cremated remains will then be made ready for collection or kept at the chapel before being laid to rest in accordance with your wishes
If you have used a Funeral Director, they will collect these for you and return them to you at their place of business. If you want to collect ashes directly from the crematorium, the person who applied for the cremation must be present.
