Approximate timescales

Depending on the time of year, the waiting period for cremation can vary. As a rough guide, you will usually be able to book a cremation to take place within 2 to 3 weeks. 

It will be less time if there is religious guidance that needs more immediate action.

Cremations can take place at Altrincham Crematorium between the hours of:

  • 8.45am – 3.15pm, Monday to Friday

Cremations do not take place on Saturdays or bank holidays.
