If you are leaving the armed forces or have already left, there is help available with housing and other support.

It is a good idea to think about where you will live before you leave the armed forces. Planning ahead can give you more housing choices and help you avoid problems later.

Finding a home

We have advice on:

Veterans may get extra priority when applying for social housing, depending on their circumstances. 

There is also a specific help to buy scheme available for service personnel.  

Other help and support

The Government provides information and support for veterans and their families. This includes help with:

  • Housing
  • Money and benefits
  • Work and training
  • Health and wellbeing
