CIL consultation and examination

Before Trafford’s Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) came into effect, we held two public consultations and a formal examination.
We consulted on a Preliminary Draft Charging Schedule (PDCS) between 3 August and 14 September 2012.
We then consulted on the Draft Charging Schedule (DCS) between 13 May and 24 June 2013.
On 3 October 2013, we submitted the Draft Charging Schedule to the Planning Inspectorate for independent examination. We received the examiner’s final report on 31 January 2014. It recommended approval, subject to modifications.

The Trafford CIL Charging Schedule was formally adopted and came into effect on 7 July 2014.
