  • Gentle Yoga - join us for a gentle exercise class aimed at people looking to be more active. Suitable for all abilities and no previous experience of yoga needed. Sessions take place every Monday at 1.30pm. There is a £2 charge per session payable at the library counter on the day.
  • Knitting group - every Monday 
  • Storytime for under 5s every Wednesday at 2.15pm.
  • Crochet Group for adults every Wednesday 1-3pm. Come and join us for chat and support. These are free drop in sessions with a small charge for refreshments.
  • Coffee morning - last Thursday of the month 10.30am-12.30pm 
  • Chatterbooks - book club for 7-10 year olds, meets on the first Tuesday of the month, 4-4.45pm.
  • Rhymetime - fir under 5s, every Tuesday and Thursday at 1.30pm and every Friday at 11am.
  • Storytime - for undr 5s every Wednesday at 2.15pm.
  • Creative Writing Group meets on the third Saturday of each month, 1-3.45pm.

Basic IT sessions

Every Thursday and Saturday morning. Individual one hour sessions for support with laptops, PCs and mobile phones. Contact the library to book an appointment.

Family LEGO® Brick Building Club

2-3pm, Saturday 19 January, Saturday 16 February, Saturday 16 March. Be creative, learn new skills and have fun at our new LEGO® Brick Building Club. For children aged 6-11 and their grown up(s)! We will also have Duplo® bricks available for younger children to join in the building fun.

Reading Groups

  • Page Turners - fourth Tuesday of each month, 5.45-6.55pm
  • Afternoon group - first Thursday of each month, 2-3pm
  • Crimetime Reading Group - last Friday of each month, 2-3pm
  • Evening group - last Friday of each month, 6-7pm

Stories for all ages from the youngest up to 13+.

We have a large selection of eBooks and eAudio available from Borrowbox.

Items which are not in stock at Urmston Library but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge.
