Staffed times

The library is staffed for the core hours of 10am - 5pm Monday to Friday, late night 10am - 7pm Wednesday and 10am - 4pm on Saturdays. 

Open+ access

Altrincham Library has Open+ installed to enable the opening hours of the library to be extended beyond the hours that staff are present. If you would like to access the library outside staffed times call in at any library, or ring our Contact Centre on 0161 912 3189 and ask about Open+ access to selected libraries.

Meeting rooms

Altrincham Library has two meeting rooms and one interview available to hire. The meeting rooms are flexible and can be booked as separate rooms or both together as one room. For further details see our Altrincham meeting rooms page.

Stock available

Items which are not available at this branch but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge. There are also a large selection of eBooks, eAudio, eNewspapers and eMagazines available via Borrowbox.

  • Hardback and paperback fiction, including bestsellers and contemporary novels
  • Non-fiction books ranging from popular interest topics to more academic subjects, in some cases up to AS and A level

  • Stories for all ages from the youngest up to 13+

Parking

Short term parking is available on Market Street where charges apply. There are also a number of disabled bays outside the library on Market Street.
