Read this alongside the Trafford Council privacy notice for information that applies to all services.

We use your information to manage allotment applications and tenancies.

What we use your data for

  • managing the waiting list
  • arranging plot viewings and inspections
  • setting up and managing tenancy agreements
  • contacting you about renewals, maintenance or issues
  • reporting problems like flooding or damage
  • chasing payments or managing tenancy disputes

What data we use

  • name, address, and date of birth
  • contact details such as email or phone number

We use your data under:

  • Contract – to manage your tenancy
  • Public task – to manage allotments under our duties in law (Allotments Acts 1908 and 1950)

Who we share it with

We may share your information with:

  • local allotment society volunteers who help manage your site
  • other agencies (like Highways or Environment Agency) if needed
  • the police – if we report unlawful activity

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you’re a tenant and for 2 years after. We may keep it longer if there's a dispute.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data. You may also ask us to stop or restrict how we use it in some cases.
